Not defined to be in any mould: Rhea Chakraborty

New Delhi– She has portrayed various avatars in films like “Mere Dad Ki Maruti” and “Sonali Cable”. Actress Rhea Chakraborty says she doesnt want to restrict herself to specific kind of roles and wishes to explore every genre.

“I want everyone to understand that as an actor you need to be able to play different roles, be versatile even in terms of your personality. I am not just a cute girl, I can also be sexy, I can also be something else,” Rhea told IANS.

“I am not defined to be in any mould and I can be whatever I want to be. I can be the girl next door, be the sexy girl, be an action girl. As an actor this is something that people need to see,” she added.

So, what is an ideal script for her?

“An important role, a story that you feel like that just needs to be told…You feel it in your gut and mostly you go with your gut,” Rhea said.

Rhea, who was last seen onscreen in “Half Girlfriend”, says she has never done any film which she was never fully convinced with.

“It’s never been the case that you can’t say ‘no’. Even today, the biggest directors — when a new comer says no (to them) — its not like they are offended or take it to ego. I don’t do any work that I am not very convinced about. That has always been my stand,” Rhea said.

Rhea will next be seen alongside Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi in “Bank Chor”, which is slated to release on June 16.

“‘Bank Chor’ has a different story. It’s a family entertainer comedy movie. If the trailer of ‘Bank Chor’ is appealing to the masses and they want to see something crazy they would watch our film,” Rhea said.

Talking about her future projects, Rhea said: “I think people should just expect me to do good work. I want to do interesting cinema, play interesting characters. I want to move them as an actor and entertain them too.” (IANS)
