BURLINGTON, MA—India Association of Greater Boston’s first-ever Antakshari highlights Republic Day 2017 event. The elimination round are happening this Sunday, Dec 4th, and Dec. 11th. The Republic Day celebrations will be held on Jan. 28 at Burlington High School in Burlington, MA.
“India Association of Greater Boston is going all out with exciting plans for its Republic Day mela on Saturday, January 28,” said Ruchi Agrawal, one of the organizers of the event and a member of the board of directors of IAGB. “The highlight of the all-day event will be IAGB’s first ever antakshari competition. Please sign-up for the Antakshari Pre-eliminations on the following dates and location.”

The IAGB Republic Day mela will also feature several other contests and activities for a diverse audience of all ages and talents, including: Patriotic Theme Art, Kite Making Competition, Science Quiz for Kids, Chess Tournament, Geography Bee, Patriotic Sonnet/Poem Writing, Trivia Quiz, Essay Competition and Cultural Program.
“The contests will culminate with the grand finale of the antakshari competition. A program of group performances, of the kind that our audience expects to see every year, will follow the grand finale,” Agarwal said in a statement.
