BOSTON–The Newman School, an independent day school that prepares students from Greater Boston and around the world for success in university and college studies and life, will host its annual open house on Saturday, Oct. 16.
Located in Boston’s Back Bay at 247 Marlborough Street, the Newman School is also one of just three independent schools in Massachusetts to offer the International Baccalaureate Program, a highly regarded, academically rich and rigorous program of study.
“The open house is to encourage middle schoolers and their parents to come and visit our school, mix with teachers and students,” said Sudhakaran Balakrishnan, Science Department Chair at the Newman School. “The Open House will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, Oct. 16.”
Founded in 1945, the school is situated in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. It’s a college-preparatory school, and a broad selection of course work helps students to demonstrate their capability for success in colleges and universities.
At the Newman School, students can get an IB Bilingual Diploma, attend the International Baccalaureate program or earning a Newman School high school diploma, according to school’s website.
