Boston Sargam and Milan Present Three Indian Poets at Hasya Kavi Sammelan on July 21 in Shrewsbury

SHREWSBURY, MA—Boston Sargam and Milan are organizing Hasya Kavi Sammelan on July 21 in Shrewsbury, MA, and presenting three Indian poets who are currently on tour of the United States and Canada.

The three poets are: Suresh Awasthi, Kirti Kaley and Sardar  Manjit singh. The Kavi Sammelan will start at 5:00 pm on July 21 and will be held at Episcopal Church, located at 440 Main Street in Shrewsbury, MA.

Here are the bios of the three distinguished poets:

Suresh Awasthi

Suresh Awasthi

Mr. Awasthi of Kanpur, UP, is a talented poet of hasya and vyang. By his poetry, he has entertained millions of people with his humor which contains a deep penetrating satire.

He blends humor with satire artistically. Writer of Eleven books. He has 2 CDs to his credit.

This is his fourth visit to US and Canada. He has been honored with President Award in the field of education in the year 2009.

Kirti Kaley

Kirti Kaley

Ms. Kaley of Delhi is a perfect blend of beauty, melody and intellect. She has four books and one CD to her credit. She is a master of expressing human emotions.

She is known as a queen of Geets and ghazals. She also recites poetry full of humor. This is her second visit to US.

Sardar Manjit Singh

Sardar Manjit Singh

Mr. Singh of Faridabad, Haryana is a leading poet of humor and satire. Writer of seven books and two CDs to his credit, he is known as a Laughter Machine. When he recites his poetry, you can hear nonstop laughters in the hall. He is a leading star in India and abroad. From the podium, he will make you laugh and laugh and deliver the serious message too. This is his 13th visit to US and fifth to Canada. He has been performing in Dubai for the last 10 years continuously.

Organizers of the event said that these featured poets have participated in India’s all prestigious Kavi Sammelans. They have enthralled the audience in Indonesia, Oman, Dubai, Thailand, England and Canada with their poetry.
