WESTON, MA—Armed with 32 trained classical musicians from India, the world-renowned Gandharva Choir will be presenting a concert on Saturday, June 24 at Regis College in Weston, MA.
“The Gandharva Choir has been trained by classical music stalwarts like Pt. Vinay Chandra Maudgalya, Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki and Pt. Mallikarjun Mansur – it will be a treat for students of music,” said Pradeep Shukla, president of Learnquest Academy of Music.
The group consists of 32 trained classical musicians who will be presenting a range of Hindustani and Carnatic classical, folk, inspirational and experimental compositions.

The Gandharva Choir is led by renowned vocalist Pt. Madhup Mudgal who is a disciple of the musical genius Pt. Kumar Gandharva.
It is a special opportunity for students and music-lovers to get inspired through a thrilling musical experience, organizers of the event said in a statement.
The choir has performed wide and far including at Lincoln Center in New York, Kennedy Center in DC; and their performances have earned accolades in The Washington Post and The New York Times
“Thousands of Bharatanatyam dancers have delightfully danced to Madhup ji’s imaginative compositions as sung by the Gandharva Choir,” said Vanita Shastri of Meru Education Foundation.
Learnquest Academy of Music and Meru Education Foundation are hosting the Gandharva Choir in the Boston area with a concert on Saturday, June 24 at 6pm at Regis College (235 Wellesley Street, Weston, MA 02493).
